Fresh coconut juice, locally known as "buko juice", is an all-year-round favorite, but of course, the demand for it gets higher during summer season. People tend to go for it because it's much cheaper compared to the other thirst-quenchers such as halo-halo and fruit shakes. Aside from its juice, some would also prefer coconut than any other fruits because a young coconut meat is good enough to fill one's empty stomach, however, eating it is not as convenient as eating fruits like apples and oranges. It will take an effort out of you to be able to savour its juice and delicious meat.
Manual de-husking of a coconut with a sharp bolo could take 2 to 3 minutes for the pro's and more for rest. Who would not want a fresh buko juice in less than 30 seconds? Surely none. This invention can definitely make our buko juice vendors' lives easier and generate bigger income because of the lesser need of manpower and faster de-husking process. What a joy and relief this machine would give our coconut farmers and vendors when this becomes available in the country.

3.5 million out of 12 million hectares or 26% of the Philippine agricultural land is devoted to coconut. With this material percentage, a machine like the one in the video is surely of big help.
Indeed, necessity is the mother of all inventions!
