Mother Hippo Attacks Crocodile To Protect Her Babies

Hippopotamus are one of the largest animal in the animal kingdom and known to be herbivores. They consume a lot of food intake of grass and fruits but is attacking a crocodile be their new diet?

An amateur photographer has taken a photo of a hippopotamus attacking a crocodile. It may seem it like the animal is considering it as food but to a larger extent of the situation, it is not for food. The animal has attacked the crocodile to protect her babies from the predator. Her babies are nearby, so when the animal mother instinct takes place, it takes a strong bite to impale the crocodile. The predator gradually escapes after receiving a heavy blow from the hippopotamus. 

In the animal world, it takes everything to survive. If it isn't for the mother hippotamus, the young babies could have been eaten by the predator. It's a rare case to see a hippotamus attacks a crocodile and this photo has taken the account that parental love is not only for humans, it can be found to animals as well.
