Video of Student Using Philippine Flag to Mop Floor Goes Viral!

A very controversial video has reached social media and TV news stations as a student is caught using the Philippine flag to mop the floor.
The video immediately caught the attention of netizens for the entirety of the video's content showing a male student mopping the floor with the national flag while he and a third person say expletives.
Authorities were quick to trace the source of the video and found out that it was taken at University of the East (UE) last February 9, Tuesday.
The controversial incident corresponds to a violation of section 34 of the Republic Act No. 8491 or an “Act Prescribing the Code of the National Flag, Anthem, Motto, Coat-of-Arms and Other Heraldic Items and Devices of the Philippines.”
In addition, section 50 of R.A. 8491 states that offenders might "be punished by a fine of not less than Five thousand pesos (5,000.00) not more than Twenty thousand pesos (P20,000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, or both such fine and imprisonment, at the discretion of the court."
