This Man and a 5.2 Meter Crocodile Are Best Buddies!!!

If you are looking for the most unlikely friendship out there, then this pair might be just it.

Meet 52-year-old crocodile whisperer, Gilberto Shedden, otherwise known as Chito.  This Costa Rican fisherman became friends with a crocodile after finding it with a gunshot wound on the banks of the Parismina River, Costa Rica.

The crocodile is near death after a cattle farmer had shot it in the left eye. Since then, Chito decided to bring the croc home to nurse it, and later called it Pocho. The reptile is believed to be a deadly 5.2 metres and weigh at least 446 kg.

Over time, the two have become bestfriends that Chito could even swim together with Pocho and get as intimately close as he wanted to without losing an arm.

"Poncho is my best friend. This is a very dangerous routine but we have a good relationship. He will look me in the eye and not attack me. It is too dangerous for anyone else to come in the water. It is only ever the two of us."
