A New Virus Found from Tick Bites Kills Farmer!!!

If you think ticks only exist to bring a number of illnesses such as Lyme disease that could be treated with antibiotics..

You got it all wrong.

According to reports, an unsuspecting farmer passed away after a tick bite. Doctors from Center for Disease Control (CDC) investigated the case and took them six months to find out the cause of the farmer’s death.

Much to the doctors’ surprise, an unknown virus, now called Bourbon Virus (named after Bourbon, Kansas where the farmer resides) is what caused the farmer his death. They said the farmer is the first ever recorded victim of the new-found virus.

Dr. Dana Hawkinson, an infectious disease expert from University of Kansas Hospital believes that the virus is carried by ticks (specifically the tick bites) carrying symptoms such as fever, anorexia, and muscle aches. Unfortunately, the new virus is resistant to any antibiotics.
