Human trafficking, Child Abduction, Rape, Kidnapping are probably the most feared words that parents don’t want to hear about their children. We should know what we can do about it especially now that this generation is so involved with technology that they become more susceptible to this kinds of crimes. Countless children and people have been victims of mindless and ruthless criminals that only think of themselves.

Now a days, social media’s are becoming stalking grounds of this predators that prey on innocent children by disguising themselves as other people to allure and con their victims into submission. Many cases of child abduction related to Facebook is gradually increasing every year all over the world as more than 75% of the world can now access the internet. It’s our responsibility as a parent to teach and guide them on how to properly use the internet and this so called “Social Media sites”.

We are the first person responsible for whatever happens to our children. We should also educate ourselves about the behavior and interest of everyone in our household not just our children. Get involved in your community so whenever you need help you can always approach some of your neighbors in times of needs. Also, know your children’s friends and know where they live and who their parents are.

Education is very important this days because this criminals are getting smarter when planning their heinous crimes. Watch the video below of a guy who did a social experiment about child abduction where he talked to 3 different teenage girls and contacted their parent to let them know how vulnerable their children are on social media sites.
