Miraculous Mother Mary Statue in New Delhi India Cry Blood

Considered a modern-day miracle, a Mother Mary statue was found weeping in New Delhi, India. It has attracted thousands of believers in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The maid called Sunitha was the first person to witness the miraculous event when she came to clean the statue at 11:30am that Saturday. Ms. Mary, a senior staff nurse at New Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Services (AIIMS), who was at the monastery when the incident took place, claimed that the tears of blood awakened both fear and reverence.

Around 65 Catholic families living nearby rushed to see the event and by evening, around 3 thousand people have already visited the statue. Due to the stream of people, police had to be called to contain the situation.



The blood found on the statue is identified as B+ve, which is one of the rare blood types to only 8% of the population according to OpenBlood. The miraculous event took place at CMI Bhavan's personal chapel where a new wing for Christ College, Bangalore was under construction. The crying statue was bought from St. Paul's Center in New Delhi a few months prior.
