Nothing could be more merry when you and your spouse exchange vows to each other in front of the altar. The sweet words of "I do" and the putting of wedding rings will forever be keep in mind. And when that time comes, hold on to the promise of "Till death do us part".

Here is a an emotional video of an eternal love that have kept their vows for 67 years and die within hours of each other.

This was the story of Violet and Floyd Hartwig. They were both born in Fresno, California and knew each other since elementary school.

67 years of Lasting Love
Their love story had began in the 1940's. When Floyd was on leave from the Navy during World War II, they met up at the Rainbow Ballroom in Fresno. When Floyd was sent back to his ship in the Pacific, they kept in touch through letters until Floyd was honorably discharged from the Navy in early 1948. They wrote a total of 131 letters to each other between 1946 and 1948. On at least one occasion, Floyd wrote to Violet five times a day.

The couple was married on August 16,1947 and had 3 children: Donna, who's narrating their story, Carol, and Kenneth. They had a 20-acre ranch and worked side by side chopping cotton, feeding turkeys and supporting their children.

But a very unfortunate event happened, Violet got sick and after a few months Floyd had kidney failure. They both became weak as they grew older.

They lay side by side with their hospital beds joined together. Hands held to each other. As the couple rested alongside each other, the family members often noticed their breathing was synchronized. At one point, it jumped simultaneously from around five to 16 breaths  a minute.

On February 11, after 67 years of marriage, they died within hours of each other.
They may had not been able to communicate before they died - at least, not in words but in actions.
