A Momentary Affair with the Dead —Something Not to Forget

If there is any international film that is making news right now, it is no other than the 2015 Spanish thriller movie "The Corpse of Anna Fritz." This talked-about film which made its debut at the Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas last March was directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens and written by Isaac P. Creus.

The story begins with the report of Spain's most popular actress', Anna Fritz, death and her body being transferred to the morgue of a hospital. Pau, which works at the hospital mortuary, sends a picture of a naked (and dead) Anna Fritz to his two friends —Javi and Ivan— who then decided to pay a secret visit to the morgue to see her.

Fascinated by Fritz' beauty and the alcohol and drugs taking effect, they decide to have sex with her.

The movie has been a center of controversies as it covers a very sensitive subject of "necrophilia," a sexual attraction to corpses, which indeed happens in reality.
